Just one match in the Premier League this Sunday for us to get our punting boots stuck into and it promises to be a good one when in-form Liverpool travel up to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle.
I’m not going to beat around the bush here, I’m going to say it as it is… I think Liverpool will win the Premier League this season and BetBright’s 39/4 on Jurgen Klopp’s men just has to be taken and here are the reasons why!
They’ve played all their main title contenders AWAY from home, have key-players returning, will spend big in the January transfer window and have an easy set of fixtures coming up…GET ON.
There is no side playing better in the Premier League at the moment than the reds and I don’t like backing odds-on aways, but it’s impossible to look past them in this one.
In midweek they produced the best performance of the season by any side so far with the 6-1 demolition of Southampton and with Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson both expected to start on Sunday, this could get messy for Newcastle.
Klopp’s side have now won seven of their last eight matches and with just one defeat in their last 17 they will be far too strong for a very poor Newcastle side.
Newcastle are 17/4 for the win with BetBright and however big it looks, it just can’t be touched.
Steve McClaren is a man under huge pressure; his side were awful against Crystal Palace last weekend losing 5-1.
That is 25 goals now conceded in their last eight matches, which includes two clean sheets and another heavy defeat in this one might see the former England manager lose his job after just four months in the St James’ hot-seat.
This match has a long history of goals which started back the classic 4-3 Liverpool win at Anfield in 1997 and there is every reason to suggest goals again on Sunday.
Both teams have scored in four of the last five Liverpool matches and however bad – and they are really bad – Newcastle are at the back, they are always good for a goal. I will be backing that at 4/5 with BetBright.
I like the visitors to ease to a 3-1 success at 21/2 with BetBright and Sturridge showed just how important he is to this Liverpool side with a brace at St Mary’s in midweek.
He’s a bet at 4/1 to open the scoring against a leaky Newcastle defence.
Both Teams To Score @ 4/5
Correct Score Liverpool 3-1 @ 21/2
Daniel Sturridge First Goalscorer @ 4/1
