Grassroots football feeling real benefit from BetBright’s funding initiative.
All of the team here at BetBright Grassroots are delighted to announce that our funding initiative has recently tipped over the £50,000 mark being paid to grassroots clubs throughout the UK this year.
The money raised has allowed clubs to pay for pitch fees, new kits, insurance and all the other expenses involved these days with non-league football. This is a substantial amount of money raised in a short period of time and further consolidates our position as firm supporters of the Grassroots game at every level throughout the nation.
Mark Singleton, Head of Business Development at BetBright said:
My aim has always been to turn the BetBright grassroots initiative into a real, tangible, commonly-accepted movement whereby we address a common need in British sport – ‘You need grassroots funding; you join the BetBright Grassroots scheme.’
Whilst £50,000 is a great sum and has made a massive difference to so many; our plan is to roll this out to every grassroots club across all sporting disciplines that want to raise money.
The BetBright Grassroots initiative has partnerships with a growing list of influential players such as the Evo-Stik League, Coors Sunday League, Norfolk FA, Alliance Football League and various other Grassroots leagues which are proving a huge hit amongst our registered clubs; amassing close to two thousand to date, with new clubs joining in for a piece of the action on a daily basis.
In a glowing statement of support for our grassroots funding initiative, Lee Waterfall the manager of Wombourne Athletic FC who play in the West Midlands Sunday Morning League got in touch to say:
The BetBright funding initiative has given our club a great boost over the last few months, having raised in excess of £1500 since April. This has really helped us with the growing expense of running a non-league club such as pitch hire, insurance, kits and other requirements.
I think our general success is mainly down to me and the other two managers persistently bugging our squad to set the accounts up. We normally take £20 off each individual to cover the fees for the season but with the BetBright incentive scheme this has given us the opportunity to boost our funds as we get a healthy profit from each account, the players bet £25 and the club gets £40!
All of the lads generally like a bet so this incentive scheme has proved very lucrative to our club.
It’s feedback like this that matter most to us. Due to the money raised from the BetBright Grassroots scheme, clubs like Wombourne Athletic FC are being given the chance to secure their finances for a couple of seasons at least. Having painted a clear picture of where exactly the much-needed funds are being allocated, Lee’s comments give us the drive and impetus to continue spreading the good word of how we can assist grassroots football clubs going forward.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the dedicated support of those who registered with us throughout all of our leagues and helped raise money for their beloved club, so a special thanks needs to go to them.
The initiative is open to any club, at any level, there is no joining fee, no setup costs and 100% of the £40 goes to your club.
To join simply email firstname.lastname@example.org with the clubs name and the league that you play in and we can have your club on site, ready for signups, in as little as 24 hours.
We are excited in continuing our support of grassroots football in the UK and would be delighted to hear your views or comments through Twitter, Facebook, Google+ Circles or email us at email@example.com.
Spread the word and help keep Grassroots Football alive!
