RPGTV Romford and Sunderland – Is Gerry a flying machine?
AERO GERRY runs in the 8.50 for Champion trainer Mark Wallis and will take all the beating from T4, the lightly raced greyhound has been running well in defeat lately and has a chance here with a smart break.
Keeperhill Dave (T3) also shows nice early pace so it’s imperative that we clear that rival into the first corner. Droopys Rem (T6) is the solo wide seed in the race and the youngster could be anything – look out for market support.
In a race with very little early pace SWIFT DARWIN (T1) could be in a very handy position around the first bend and could be hard to beat – the son of Vans Escalade has recently moved down form Sunderland and has been running with credit but is yet to win at the London road circuit, with a level break he can take this S1 six bend graded race.
Marazion Maeve (T4) has a chance with a ping break. Magical Emma (T5) and Cloella (T6) have both been running well over the marathon 750 meter distance and whichever leads out wide will have a chance.
A little later on Aayamzaone will take all the beating in the 9.56 from T6 but she may be a little short as a betting proposition. Yesnomaybeso made a pleasing debut on the 9th cutting through the pack with ease and looks one to follow, she runs in the 10.11 from T1.
Recent winners Archive Policy (T1) Pukane Joe (T2) and Evanta Fantasy (T3) line up in the 10.26 and it looks a leader wins type of race – with all capable of a ping break the first corner could get messy.
VANFRENCIHIE ran well in the Coronation Cup finishing fourth behind the impressive winner Soviet Kenny – this is a drop in class and he is the likely winner from T1. Key to the race will be leading round and kicking clear of the chasing pack.
Dural Bound has recently returned from a layoff and ran well last week; look out for his finishing kick if he is close approaching the last couple of bends.
Over at Sunderland get on the early paced youngster PROSECCO (T5) in the 7.54 – since moving over from Ireland the daughter of derby winner Westmead Hawk has flown round in three trials, the latest trial clock would be good enough to take this race and a repeat of the split would put her at least a couple of lengths clear into the first corner.
Moving onto Saturday – Crayford and Newcastle live on RPGTV
Newcastle stages the Pinpoint maiden Derby with the first heat at 9.15. Tarmons Jet (T5) looks the likely leader and winner of the first heat – the local top grade runner is a consistent sort could go well during the competition.
Look out for PINPOINT CLASSIC (T5) in the third heat at 9.48 – the Kelly Macari trained greyhound recorded a couple of flying trials back in November and sprint trials recently, the lightly raced son of Hondo Black could be anything, look out for market support.
BURGESS OSCAR can take heat six at 10.35 for Perry Barr trainer Pat Rosney – the recent recruit from Ireland has trailed well and looks the likely leader at the rails with little early pace on his immediate outside.
Over at Crayford the best bet on the card is KOKCHA BLUE from T1 in the 8.34 open race over the standard 380 meter distance – Heather Dimmock’s greyhound won a competitive race on Sky Sports last time out at Romford and has previously gone well at Crayford, with a ping break she will be hard to beat.
