Top tipping at Romford and Sunderland live on RPGTV
Our tipping landed two from four selections last Friday – Luminous Queen and Marazion Maeve both won well at 7/4 and 7/2, giving us decent profit on the night. Can we do it again this week?
The first race to highlight is the 8.02 maiden stayers race over the 575 meter distance – SWIFT DARWIN (T1) will be attempting the trip for the first time but his running style suggests it will suit, key to the race will be holding the rails into the first bend and leading off the second.
Happydays Boy (T4) ran well last time out and rates as the main danger – especially if that rival traps well and lead down the middle.
BANTAM (T3) ran a cracker on English debut last Saturday and could be very hard to beat in the 9.06 maiden open race over the standard 400 meter trip.
The recent recruit from Ireland showed impressive early pace to lead round but found one too good – if improving for that outing, we can see a trap to line victory this evening. Archive Policy (T1) is making his Romford debut and has trialed well and looks the danger.
The final selection at Romford is DURAL BOUND (T5) in the 10.40 open race – the Maxine Locke trained greyhound has been off the track since June but recently returned with trial runs over the four bend trip and recorded a best 24.58 which is not setting the world alight.
He has since trialed over six bends and clocked 35.71, a repeat of which would see him go very close tonight.
Race fitness has to be taken on trust but if the pacey son of Head Bound gets a run around the first couple of bends he could be very hard to beat. Newlawn Maeve (T1) has a chance if leading at the rails.
Over at Sunderland, it’s an all graded competitive card – the best bet is in the 10.18 from T1, TRAPPER PADDY has been running well recently and will take all the beating here.
The youngster has shown good all round pace in recent races and this race looks ideal with the lack of any genuine early pace, it’s possible that Trapper Paddy could lead round tonight.
Moving onto Saturday and its Crayford and Newcastle live on RPGTV from 7.15pm
At Newcastle the feature race is the Pinpoint Recruitment 480 Final at 9.15 – GHETTO EMPIRE (T4) has been pinging out from the traps recently and making all, with a similar break he will be hard to beat.
It is however a very competitive race with the likes of Magical Reid (T2) and Valentia Frosty (T5) in opposition.
The Pinpoint recruitment 640 HCP Final at 8.58 is a tricky one to work out – KILARA ROZ (T5) has been running very well recently and has a touch of class about her. If she can stay wide and avoid any potential trouble she could be very hard to beat.
Over at Crayford LUMINOUS QUEEN (T2) can make all in the 8.18 open race over the six bend 540 meter trip, the daughter of Tyrur Big Mike won well for us last Friday at Romford making all and showed no signs of stopping.
The trip should suit but at this point stamina has not been proved so it will have to be taken on trust. Bocko (T6) looks a potential top class six bend dog and could be the danger.
Good luck if you’re having a greyhound bet with us this weekend!
