Romford and Sunderland live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
Racing Post Greyhound TV is live on Sky channel 212 and Freesat 401 from 7.15pm this evening, as ever we have competitive action from Romford and Sunderland for greyhound punters to try and work out.
The first race to highlight is the Romford Friday Night 500 Sprint Final over the 225 meter trip, in a sprint race the break and run into the first corner will be vital and whichever greyhound manages to lead will take all the beating. SWAMP THING (T1) impressed last week in the heats and if the Jim Reynolds trained railer breaks in similar fashion he can take this race.
Mash Mad Rumble (T4) also won well last Friday in the heats and rates as the main danger. Pass To Go (T6) is very lightly raced and could be one to watch in the market.
The second final on the card at Romford is the 9.24 500 Standard over 400 meters, BOLSHOI BOOZE (T5) was very impressive last Friday when clocking a flying 3.66 sectional and a repeat of the would surely be good enough to take this and claim victory for the Phil Simmonds trained runner.
It is however a very competitive race with the likes of Lodge Boy (T1), Dalis Picture (T4) and Ilewin Potter (T6) all more than capable of taking a race like this on a going day.
A little later on look out for PHARISEE FLYER from T4 in the Doug Tyler Summer Cup Heat 1 at 9.40, the son of Black Shaw was well beaten by course and distance specialist Adageo Bob last time out after finding early trouble but with nothing of that class in this race Pharisee Flyer can smash out and make all this evening.
Swift Whirlwind (T6) won well a couple of weeks back on six bend debut and rates as the danger, especially if leading out wide. Teejays Porsche (T1) has a chance if holding his rails pitch into the first corner.
The final selection on the Romford card is BLONDE RAZOR from T1 in second heat of the Doug Tyler Summer Cup at 9.56. The Mark Wallis trained railer is a class act over this six bend trip and will take the world of beating if he manages to clear Bubbly Gold (T1) into the first corner and gets on the bunny, doing just that will make or break the race for supporters of our selection.
Teejays Panther (T3) and Bubbly Gold (T1) know each other very well after competing in the Grand Prix final against each other recently at Sunderland, Bubbly Gold came out on top on that occasion but over a slightly shorter trip and a different track that advantage could be with the Paul Young trained Teejays Panther.
Over at Sunderland the feature event is the 10.35 A1 graded race over the standard 450 meter trip, DINNINGTON LAD (T1) is approaching the veteran stage in his career now but the early paced railer is still more than capable in this type of grade and if leading at the rails he could show his younger rivals the way home.
Farloe Bugatti (T6) will be staying on well and could be the one to challenge Dinnington Lad off the last bend.
Saturday – Newcastle and Crayford live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
As on a Saturday evening greyhound punters have Newcastle and Crayford live on RPGTV from 7.15pm, both cards look very competitive and finding winners will be tricky.
The feature race is the Ladbrokes Dual Distance Hurdle Final at 8.34.
The heats of this event was staged last week live on RPGTV and our selection LENSON ROYALE (T4) made a huge impression when picking Handy Henry over the four bend 380 meter trip and now stepped up to the six bend 540 meter distance Lenson Royale has every chance to turn handy and hit the front early on, if the Ricky Holloway trained son of Godsend breaks well he will take all the beating.
Ricky Holloway is also represented by Razldazlnewstalk (T3) and Soviet Military (T5) in the race, if either of those where to turn handy they would rate as huge dangers to Lenson Royale.
Best of luck if you’re having a bet on the greyhounds with us this weekend, as ever you can back all these selections over in our daily greyhound betting hub.
