Wimbledon and Romford live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
RPGTV returns to our screen this evening and what a night of racing we have in prospect, Romford stages a decent all open race card while over at Wimbledon we have the St Leger and RFS Puppy Derby semi finals to try and work out – join the RP team on Sky channel 212 from 7.15pm tonight.
The first race to highlight is the 8.10 St Leger semi final at 8.10 over the six bend 687 meter trip. DIEGO FLIGHT is the selection from T3, early paced middle seed has been a revelation since been stepped up in trip and if the son of College Causeway breaks in best fashion again tonight he will take the world of beating.
Swansalona Diva (T4) rates as a huge danger to our selection, the Towcester raider is coming along nicely following a layoff and she would be a danger to all with a smash break. Don’t rule out Ribble Atom from T2, the Mark Wallis trained runner will be staying on well and she could be the one to take advantage if the pace setters come together early on.
The 2014 St Leger winner ROXHOLME DREAM is the selection for the next race at 8.26 from Wimbldon. The trap two runner looks the likely race leader and once on the bunny shes a classy sort and she will be hard to beat – two recent runs over course and distance would of blown away the cobwebs following a lengthy layoff and she looks a lively runner tonight.
Fizzypop Buddy (T3) looks the main danger, the lightly raced son of Tubbertelly Dubh shows decent all round pace in his races and he would be a huge runner if avoiding an early bump. Borna Champ looks well drawn in T1 and the Yarmouth raider is likely to be staying on well in the closing stages.
BALLYMAC RAMSEY looks well drawn in T1 at 8.42 and if the Sheffield raider manages to hold his pitch into the first corner it should be all over bar the shouting down the back straight. The key to this race will be the break and run into the first corner, if Ramsey breaks well he should be able to take this race and book his place in the RFS Puppy Derby final next week.
Barricane Bullet (T4) looks the main danger to our selection, the Towcester based greyhound showed blistering early pace last time out and he would be a danger to all on the bunny. Don’t rule out Pretty Lane from T3, the Kevin Cobbold trained runner won well last week and could be one to watch in the market.
The final selection at Wimbledon is DROOPYS NINE who runs from T3 in the 8.58 over the standard four bend trip of 480 meters. The Pat Buckley trained Irish raider found early trouble in the heats last week but showed massive pace throughout that race and he would be a huge runner in this race with a ping break.
Droopys Roddick (T1) looks the main rival to our selection, he stays on well in his races and would be a danger to all if within striking distance down the back straight. Lenson Santi (T5) has shown decent early pace in sprint trials and the Tony Collett trained runner could be worth a second look in the market.
Over at Romford look out for CLONDOTY ALEX who runs from T1 in the 400 meter open race for trainer Mark Wallis. The early paced son of Razldazl Jayfkay has some decent course and distance form against his name and he recently recorded a flying trial over the sprint trip of 225 meters at Romford, with one of his better breaks he should hold the rails and make all.
Trionas Trust (T4) looks the main rival to our selection, the former Sunderland runner has recorded two impressive wins over c&d recently and he could be the one to challenge Alex down the back straight.
The final selection at Romford is FARLOE MENACE from T6 in the 10.11 open race over the six bend trip of 575 meters. The solo wide seed looks very well drawn and with a level break he could lead off the second bend and once on the bunny he’s a decent sort over this type of trip.
Jaytee Berlin (T1) has been keeping very good company of late and the Paul Young trained runner rates as the main danger, if he holds the rails into the first corner he would be a runner. Maidread Jett (T2) won well on her last Romford run and she could be one to watch in the market.
