Belle Vue and Romford live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
Tonight the RPGTV cameras move onto Belle Vue and Romford and what a nights action we have in prospect, at Belle Vue we have the Ecc Timber Oaks and Laurels to try and work out while over at Romford we have an ultra competitive mixed card to work through, it should be a cracker!
TARANIS BOLT looks ideally drawn in the first Laurels semi final at 7.54 and if the solo wide seed breaks in best fashion he can make all from T6. The Kevin Hutton trained Towcester raider is blessed with blistering early pace and with anything like a level break he should clear the pace on his inside into the first corner and lead round, on the bunny he’s a class act and he would take all the beating.
On Alert (T4) rates as a huge danger, the draw is an unknown for the railer but if he breaks well he would be a danger to all down the back straight. Lightly raced Droopys Novak (T1) is worth a second look in the betting market, the Paul Young trained runner looks likely to lead at the rails and he could go close with a ping break.
In a race full of early pace (8.10 Belle Vue) the break and run into the first corner will be vital, based on the draw the selection for the race is ROXHOLME BARKLEY who lines up in T1. The Hayley Keightley trained runner was very impressive in the first round of this competition and with a level break he should hold Millwards Whitey (T2) into the first corner and lead round.
Kennel mate Roxholme Scolari (T5) would be a huge runner with a decent break, the middle seed could be in the perfect position to lead off the second bend if the early paced railers get in each others way early on.
EVANTA EVITA is a class act and the Mark Wallis trained daughter of Head Bound can take the first Ecc Timber Oaks semi final at 8.58 with one of her better breaks. The key to this race will be the break and run into the first corner, lead round and it’s race on.
Newinn This Way (T1) rates as a huge danger, the Perry Barr raider looks likely to lead at the rails and she could be the one to challenge our selection down the back straight. Don’t rule out lightly raced Tyrur Caroline who lines up in T5, the lightly raced former Irish runner would be a danger to all with a ping break.
The second Oaks semi final at 9.15 can go to the well drawn SWIFT CHAMPAGNE who runs from T4 for Sheffield trainer Elaine Parker. The daughter of Kinloch Brae won in the first round of the competition in impressive fashion and was just edged out second round heats where she finished a close second behind Chaotic Lynda in a thriller.
In a race lacking any genuine early pace our seleciton will have a chance of getting on the bunny, lead round and Swift Champagne should take this race and book her place in next weeks 2015 Oaks final. Bromwich Sue (T1) rates as the main danger, the Nottingham based daughter of Westmead Hawk stays on well and she would be a huge runner here with a clear run.
Over at Romford look out for BODELL SPARK (T1) in the stayers final at 9.06 over the six bend trip of 575 meters at the London road venue. Bodell Spark made all in the heats of this competition and the Towcester based greyhound looks ideally drawn tonight to lead round and make all again, they key to the race will be holding Oneco Maverick (T2) into the first bend, do that and it’s race on down the back straight.
Manic Pellegrini (T3) caught the eye last time out when the son of Westmead Hawk stayed on well and he would be a huge runner tonight if within striking distance off the final bend.
