Friday 2nd October – Sunderland and Romford live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
RPGTV is live from Sunderland and Romford this evening, the show gets underway at 7.15pm on Sky channel 212 and Freesat 401 with the first race at 7.31pm.
The first race to highlight this evening is the 9.06 open race over the standard four bend trip of 400 meter at Romford. EVANTA FANTASY (T2) is a class act over course and distance and if the Mark Wallis trained Towcester raider breaks in best fashion this evening she will take all the beating.
The key to the race will be the break and run into the first corner, lead round and it’s race on. Briks Bella (T3) is a capable sort and the local runner rates as a huge danger to our selection. Marmalady looks well drawn in T6 and if the inside runners tangle the advantage could be with Marmalady out wide.
The 9.40 six bend open race can go to RABBINI from T5 who runs for Peterborough trainer David Pruhs.
The middle seed caught the eye over course and distance last week when he showed decent pace to get into the race after a slow break, if Rabbini traps better this evening he can go very close in a tricky race.
Swift Tiler (T1) is a very pacey sort and if the Dave Mullins trained runner breaks well from his inside draw he could be the one to challenge our selection down the back straight. Airforce Duchess won the Brighton Belle at Hove recently and would be a danger to all if breaking well from T4.
WHAT A LAUGH (T6) looks well drawn in the 9.56 and if the son of Crash pings out he will make them all go over the 400 meter trip at Romford. Our selection is a little inconsistent at the traps but if he breaks in his best fashion he should make all this evening.
Dave You Go (T2) rates as the main danger, the Phil Simmonds trained runner has won twice in A1 grade recently and would be a huge runner if leading at the rails. Never Cry Wolf (T5) has been a little below his best recently but if the middle seed smashed out from the boxes he could go close.
A little later on look out for LAUGHING GRAVY who runs from T5 in the 10.26 open race for trainer David Pruhs from Peterborough. The 2014 Romford Puppy Cup winner has returned to the track in excellent form recently and if he repeats the 3.70 sectional that he recorded last time out he should be clear of his rivals at the first bend and once in front he’s a class act.
Bolshoi Booze (T4) and Lodge Boy (T2) are both capable of taking a race like this on a going day and if either where to ping out they would be huge dangers to our selection.
Over at Sunderland look out for MAGICAL JAKE who runs from T6 in the final race on the card at 10.35. The solo wide seed returned to the track after a brief layoff last week and recorded a flying 4.86 sectional and 27.42 clock, a repeat of that would make him very hard to beat this evening.
Eden Rex from T1 rates as the danger, the consistent A1 performer looks likely to hold the rails into the first bend and if he turns second to our selection it’s race on down the back straight.
