Friday – Romford and Sunderland live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
RPGTV returns to our screens this evening with competitive graded racing from Sunderland plus a decent mixed card from Romford, the action gets underway at 7.15pm on Sky channel 212 and Freesat 401.
The first race to highlight this evening is the Romford Maiden open race at 7.46 over the standard 400 meter trip. BOTHAR NA NAOMH (T5) caught the eye recently when running behind the classy youngster Droopys Story back on the 28th August, if the Paul Young trained daughter of El Grand Senor can break in best fashion this evening she will be the one to beat.
Walking Timebomb (T2) trapped out well last time and recorded a decent clock, if youngster breaks well again he could be the one to challenge our selection down the back straight.
MIKES MACHINE has been a little below her best recently but a trip to Harlow for a trial might of worked the oracle and tonight could be the perfect time to back her when she returns to the Romford 400 meter trip, the key to the race this evening will be the break and run into the first corner, Mikes Machine is perfectly boxed in T2 – break well and it’s race on.
Sneezys Jess (T4) is a consistent sort over course and distance and would be a danger to all on the bunny. Don’t rule out Marmalady (T5) and Forest Flame (T6), both are more than capable of winning a race like this on a going day.
A little later on look out for JAYTEE PARIS from T6 in the Maiden Stayers open race at 9.40 over the six bend 575 meter trip. The Paul Young trained daughter of Broadstrand Lad looks very well drawn as the solo side seed in the race and if she breaks well it’s race on.
Borna Dinger (T3) rates as a huge danger, the local grader won well over course and distance last time out and would be a runner if clearing the pace inside and grabbing the rails at the first corner. Emmas Friend (T1) is an interesting runner on six bend debut and could be one to watch in the market.
The final selection on the Romford card is LAUGHING GRAVY (T6) in the 10.26 open race. The early paced wide seed will be making his track reappearance this evening following a layoff and the 2014 Romford Puppy Cup winner looks well drawn to ping out and make all.
The key to the race as ever will be the break and run into the first corner, if our selection leads round he will be very hard to beat.
Never Cry Wolf (T4) has missed the break on his last two runs but if the youngster breaks in best fashion he would be a huge runner in this race, the Jim Reynold trained son of Flying Stanley has an impressive 24.07 clock on his card and a repeat of that would see him go very close.
Over at Sunderland look out for FAIRYHILL DIVA who runs from T3 in the 10.18 A4 graded race over the 450 meter four bend trip.
The Apr14 youngster won well on debut last week and looks one to follow over the next few months. Armchair Wilburn (T5) is a very consistent sort over this course and distance and has a chance tonight with one of her better breaks.
The final bet at Sunderland is DINNINGTON LAD from T1 in the A1 top grade event at 10.35. The early paced railer looks well drawn this evening and if he manages to hold his pitch into the first corner he will take all the beating.
Darby O Gill (T4) rates as the danger, the middle seed is more than capable of winning this race but will need to bring his trapping boots with early pace on his immediate inside.
