Here we go again in the Premier League and Jimmy Bullard is back on side to deliver the verdicts…
Leicester v C Palace
You’ve got to have Leicester at home, Mahrez and Vardy in form as they are right now. I think Palace are in the process or re-igniting themselves but you have to have the Foxes here. I’m going for a 2-0 home win and it should be comfortable enough.
Arsenal v Newcastle
I have to have Arsenal in this one, as much as they run in and out of form and can be brilliant and frustrating they’ve got way too much for Newcastle and the lads Ozil and Sanchez are sure to be playing for a new contract now, you have to know that is going on in their heads. Home advantage makes a difference and I reckon they’ll get three goals and Newcastle will maybe nick just the one.
Brighton v Burnley
How no-one come in and grabbed Sean Dyche I don’t know, what a time of it he is having with Burnley. I know there was a chance of the Everton job, Big Sam is doing wonders there now already, but Dyche seems to still be under the radar, but maybe not for long. Brighton away is not the easiest but I think Burnley will beat them and you just don’t know if Brighton are gonna turn up, they can be a bit powder-puff if I’m honest. I’m on the away win here, 2-1.
Chelsea v Southampton
Hazard and the boys are too strong for Southampton. Chelsea will be looking for three goals at least and whilst I like Southampton they are not going to get anything out of this game are they, of course not. Three zip.
Stoke v West Ham
I’m going for the wildcard here – this is what West Ham do to us Hammer fans. Produce against Arsenal in the week, produce against Chelsea and now you’d fancy them to get something from Stoke they just won’t deliver. I can’t fancy us and after having two good results, I’m telling you it can’t go on for long! I’m going for Stoke to win by the odd goal.
Watford v Huddersfield
To be fair I do like Watford, they’ve had a little blip but this should be the chance to do what they do well and they always score goals. I fancy them to put at least two past Huddersfield and keeping it clean at the back.
Man City v Tottenham
This will be a good game, proper footballing teams here boys.
Pep’s now the record holder and even though he is saying that if they lose it will do them good, he won’t want that to be here against Spurs. His team have so much of the ball lately the other team don’t get a chance to play. What they done to Utd was a controlled demolition the other week and I can see them doing the same here and scoring two or three but Spurs can come back at them and their little dodgy spell seems over. Spurs can get on the scoresheet and this will be a great match. Open football and goals but City will still come out on top.
West Brom v Man Utd
Here’s the swerve game of the weekend. Utd can be very boring at the minute with efficient 1-0’s but they don’t ever really look like slamming teams. I’d be tempted to throw West Brom in for the win but I’m going for a score draw and West Brom is a horrible place to go, they are a scruffy old side but they grind it out. Mourinho used to complain teams parked the bus but now he’s probably the best at it! Might be scrappy this.
Bournmouth v Liverpool
I see Liverpool’s back four and they look gutted, they can’t defend as they should and I can’t have them as a top top side until that’s sorted. They are stronger than Bournemouth, of course they are, and I never ever put the Cherries up for a win, I know that. The front few, Mane, Salah and Coutinho and the boys get goals and they’ll get away with it but they are almost certain to concede.
Everton v Swansea
Ah Monday night and a bit of Big Sam, cracking. You just have to go with Everton and the roll they are on. Swans boss Clement must be big fav for the next head on the chopping block and this result is not going to help.
It will be bouncing at Goodison, they will be flying into this game with Rooney and Gylfi looking like new players. It didn’t take Sam long did it to shore it up at the back and that gives the freedom to the front lads – less pressure on the whole outfit and it comes together. Easy win here – this is the Banker!
Enjoy the weekend all!
