In-form Sheff Wednesday won’t be worried by the visit of leaders Brighton
It wasn’t vintage Sheffield Wednesday against Nottingham Forest on Saturday but the Owls got the job done in the end thanks to Fernando Forestieri’s long-range effort and never really looked like conceding.
Watford had obviously decided that Forestieri wasn’t good enough for a Premier League campaign but their loss has been Wednesday’s gain.
The Italian’s fourth goal in eight appearances since joining the South Yorkshire club in August helped extend Wednesday’s unbeaten run to 10 matches. He’s proving a real crowd-pleaser and, with Gary Hooper having joined on loan from Norwich last week, Sheff Wednesday now have an abundance of riches in attack and will fancy their chances of ending the unbeaten run of table-toppers Brighton at Hillsborough this Tuesday.
Chris Hughton’s team have won eight of their 14 Championship matches so far and drawn the other six. But they’ve not won any game by more than a single-goal margin and may struggle to keep rampant Wednesday at bay – we have priced up a home win at 33/20.
But Brighton won’t be easy to overcome, though have never won at Hillsborough. The Seagulls have built a reputation for solid defending this season so backing Under (2.5) in our Goals Over/Under betting might pay dividends as Wednesday have also been miserly in defence lately having kept clean sheets in three of their last four. We are, however, offering 23/10 for 2 in our Total Goals market and Draw/Sheffield Wednesday in our Half Time/Full Time is 4/1.
The match kicks off at7.45pm on Tuesday, November 2nd at Hillsborough
