Wednesday to stay on course against the struggling Valiants
There is no doubt it’s been a terrific week and a half for Sheff Wednesday!
A win in the South Yorkshire derby was followed by victory over Arsenal in the Capital One Cup. They then beat Nottingham Forest at Hillsborough and drew with unbeaten Championship leaders Brighton – and Kieren Westwood and his defence have only conceded one goal in the process.
Sheff Wednesday’s own unbeaten run now stretches back 11 matches so they’ll be in confident mood heading down to The Valley this weekend to face managerless Charlton.
Apathy looks the only danger to another Sheffield Wednesday victory, therefore, but we still have an away win priced up at 11/10 in our Full Time Result betting – the Owls haven’t lost at The Valley in their last four visits though three of those matches ended in 1-1 draw. You can back this game to end all-square at 9/4 with a 1-1 Correct Score available at 9/2.
Wednesday could find themselves in the play-off places if they win this Saturday and other results go their way – that would be a fine way to go into the international break.
Fernando Forestieri was named as the PFA Championship Fans’ Player of the Month for October on Tuesday but he was largely kept quiet by the Seagulls. He’ll appreciate the international break more than most but is 21/10 to sign off with another goal against Charlton in our Anytime Goalscorer betting with Wednesday at 53/20 to win by one in our Winning Margins.
The match kicks off at 3.00pm on Saturday, November 7th at The Valley
