MANCHESTER CITY face a real tough test in the Champions League on Tuesday night when they travel to one of the hardest places in Europa to get a result Sevilla.
The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium has been a European fortress for Los Rojiblancos in recent years with the home side winning their last 10 European matches there and I’m staggered to seem them as the 19/10 underdogs to win this match with BetBright.
This game is a much bigger one for the La Liga side as if they don’t get anything from it, it’s highly likely that they will back defending their Europa League trophy on Thursday nights.
BetBright aren’t silly and they know that you lot are going to back the Premier League favourites at what ever price they chalk up for this one and that can be the only reason why Manuel Pellegrini’s side are as short as 7/5 for the win.
They do arrive in Spain in good form and are unbeaten in their last eight matches but, anyone who witnessed the first meeting between this pair at the Etihad a fortnight ago will know that Sevilla were very, very unlucky not to get something from the match after losing out to a last minute Kevin De Bruyne winner and this looks the perfect opportunity for them to gain revenge.
The one thing that does looks certain in this match-up is goals and lots of them.
Whilst one Manchester side is having big problems scoring the goals the same can’t be said for the Blue half of the city where, despite key injuries to key strikers they’ve now managed to score 21 goals in their last seven matches and although I don’t fancy them for the win, I’m very confident that they will score.
In City’s last 11 matches both teams have scored in 10 of them and both teams to score at 8/15 with BetBright that is the best bet in all the markets available and was also a winner in five of the last seven matches involving the Spaniards.
It might be a little to short for singles, but it’s a must for the BetBright BTTS midweek coupon.
Another goals based market that I really like on Tuesday is the match to feature over 2.5 goals, BetBright’s odds-compilers have done their research and have that market at just 4/6, but over 3.5 goals and even over 4.5 at 31/20 and 7/2 respectively offer better value.
This is going to be a decent match-up of that I’m certain which pits two very entertaining and two very attack minded sides against each other and really has all the promise to be a Champions League classic and I’m going to take Sevilla to edge a thriller 3-2 which is massive at BetBright’s 47/2.
The main man in the south of Spain this season has been Kevin Gameiro and the Frenchman looks a spot of value at 11/2 to open the scoring and add to his six goals already this season against a leaky City defence that looked all over the place against the mighty Norwich at the weekend.
