View our pick of the greyhounds on Friday and Saturday!
Following our opening greyhound preview piece last week, we were delighted by the positive response we received. We even got a special mention from Jonathan Hobbs live on RPGTV so that was very much appreciated; we’re glad to be deemed worthy of a mention as we aim to bring dog punters something a little bit different!
Unfortunately, last week’s tips didn’t go quite as well as we’d hoped, with a number of unlucky seconds on the card; let’s hope we can get the ball rolling this week and start making our readers some money!

Dogs to look out for during Friday’s action
GOLDEN DONAIRE (9.24 Romford) Dave Mullen’s marathon runner is approaching veteran stage but is still very capable and if leading the rails will prove very hard to catch, Stainless Steel beat the selection last time out over course and distance but with Stainless Steel now drawn in trap 4 there’s every chance of an upset.
Droopys Field in trap 6 is very fast when on the bunny, but the draw is a concern, likely to move toward the rails at the traps this could cause trouble for the middle to wide runners.
ISHEFORREAL (10.26 Romford) This race is blessed with early paced types and the break will be vital, potentially the best drawn dog is Isheforreal from trap 2, all the early pace is on his outside and if repeating the recent 3.69 split David Pruhs Peterborough raider will take all the beating.
Genesis Demester is looking to complete a five timer and will have her supporters from trap 3. Seamus Cahill’s Express Max is a recent open race sprint winner at Hove and is now stepped up to the four bend trip.
ADAGEO BOB (10.40 Romford) has become a course and distance specialist, capable of doing it from the front or off the pace Mark Wallis has a potential Champion stakes winner on his hands.
If you are looking to oppose the favourite, PARADISE GARCIA has the unknown factor, when last seen over course and distance Paul Donovan’s youngster clocked a very impressive 35.33 calculated time, fitness could be an issue, although a recent 28.85 Wimbledon clock suggests all is well and the champion stakes is the intended target.
Sunderland’s Racing Post TV card is a tricky one, consisting of 13 graded races. Best bet of the night comes in the shape of PINPOINT LILY (10.18) Kelly Macari’s youngster clocked a very impressive 27.64 from off the pace last time out, showing terrific track craft and back straight pace.
Leading the wide runners will give Pinpoint lily a winning chance, Wong Ho and Dinnington Lad will lead round but watch out for Lily down the back straight.
Moving on to Saturday’s racing
Romford – First Race 10.31am
Crayford – First Race 10.38am
Newcastle – First Race 2.24pm
Sittingbourne – First Race 6.28pm
Monmore – First Race 6.38pm
Newcastle (RPGTV) – First Race 7.39pm
Crayford (RPGTV) – First Race 7.31pm
Dogs to look out for on Saturday
AIRFORCE BUZZ (8.34 Crayford) is fancied to go well from trap 2, Ricky Holloway’s youngster can get fist run on his rivals and prove very hard to catch, a recent 23.96 and 3.70 split is nothing special bit if improving for his first look around the circuit he’s the likely winner.
RIVER RUNAWAY (9.24 Crayford) 575M maiden open race. Paul Tomsett’s River Runaway looks capable of turning second behind the early paced Bobby’s Stan and if avoiding that rival early he can kick on and take the prize. Whinfell Dazzler from trap 3 will have her supporters stepping up in trip for the first time.
