The movers and shakers for this weekends UK Greyhound action.
Last week’s greyhound preview had 3 winners with AIRPORT CAPTAIN (7/4) BROGAN TEE BONE (5/4 from 9/4) and SOVIET MILITARY (4/7) all smashed out from the traps and made all in their races.
Moving onto this weekend and Greyhound punters have 13 open races at Romford to get stuck into, plus an all graded card at Sunderland live on RPGTV from 7.15 tonight.

Dogs to look out for during Friday’s action
LENSON TIGGY can get us off to a winning start in the 7.46 at Romford, Andy Collett’s Sittingbourne youngster is making his four bend English debut, the recent 24.08 trial hints that this dog could be top class and if clearing BISHOPS WOOD early it should be all over.
EXPRESS GIANT (8.02 Romford Trap 1) is the next selection, with the champion stakes starting next week Chris Allsopp’s dog is trying the 575 meter distance for the first time, a smart four bend dog early in the year the step up in trip should suit and if leading around the first bend its catch me if you can.
Paul Young’s ROMEO CONCORDE (8.18 Romford Trap 3) has a nice draw to work from and if breaking in best fashion can take the prize, with BONAMASSA ROCKS (Trap 1) and DINNER PANTELI (Trap 2) lacking a yard to the corner its a race where the ‘Concorde’ should make all. BALLYMAC MARINE looks a very good dog on trial form and is the obvious danger.
The 8.34 at Romford is a very tricky race, the make up suggests trouble at trap rise, BALLYHILL CITY is a railer and drawn in trap 4, CANT TALK NOW from trap 1 is more used to been drawn in the middle boxes and could move off from 1, with the potential for early trouble MARMALADY Trap 5 could take advantage. MARMALADY ran very well last time out showing excellent middle pace to lead off the third bend, although picked up close home Dave Mullen’s youngster should improve for a second look at the distance and is fancied to win tonight.
BUOY JOHNNY (8.50 Romford) ran very well in defeat last Friday and if clearing HOMETOWN DAY early it should be all over. Back in May BUOY JOHNNY contested the greyhound derby so is clearly a very pacey four bend dog and has recently showed that the 575 meter distance is not a concern staying on well last time out.
MAYS ALONSO (10.40 Trap 1) is the final dog to highlight on the Romford card, a recent recruit from Ireland, MAYS ALONSO has been it and miss so far but showed last time out what he can do when trapping, the 750 meter trip will not be a concern and if holding the rails early he will take all the beating.
Over at Sunderland its an all graded card, as always very competitive with plenty of tight and tricky races for greyhound punters to work out. Best bet of the night comes in the final race at 10.35, its a top class A1 event and DRUMNA CLARE can make all on only her third race at the Newcastle road track.
Moving on to Saturday’s racing

Crayford – First Race 10.38am
Newcastle – First Race 2.24pm
Sittingbourne – First Race 6.28pm
Monmore – First Race 6.38pm
Newcastle (RPGTV) – First Race 7.39pm
Crayford (RPGTV) – First Race 7.31pm
The live greyhound racing on Saturday night comes from Crayford and Newcastle, live on RPGTV sky channel 212 from 7.15pm.
Dogs to look out for on Saturday
DROOPYS ALESSIO can make all in the 7.39 (Newcastle) puppy race from Trap 2, if reproducing recent 4.64 and 4.66 splits it should be all over bar the shouting at the first bend.
CALZAGHE GEORGE is likely to go off a very short price but should make all in the 8.26 (Newcastle) from Trap 3. The ‘class act’ of the race is a flying machine around the Newcastle track and the recent 28.53 suggests all is well and he will take all the beating on Saturday night.
Over at Crayford RAZLDAZL BUTCH is fancied to make all in the 9.24 hurdle race from Trap 1. With very little early pace on his immediate outside the former springbok finalist can hold the rails on the way to victory.
