Racing Post Greyhound TV returns to our screens this evening with a decent all open race card from Romford on show plus a tricky graded card from Sunderland for punters to work out. Catch all the action live on Frontrunner TV Sky channel 468 from 7pm.
The first race to highlight this evening is the maiden open race from Romford at 7.29 over the standard four bend trip over 400 metres. KILMORE LEMON (T5) appeals on recent Towcester trial lines and looks an interesting runner here on début. The February 16 youngster has show blistering early pace in his trials to date and he could be the ideal Romford type for the coming months. The key to victory this evening will be the break and run into the first corner, lead round and it’s race on. Local runner Eaton Fields looks the main danger from T4, with a ping break he should go close.
At 8.03 keep on eye on RISING RAZOR who lines up from T5 for trainer Dave Mullins over the six bend trip of 575 metres. Last week over course and distance Rising Razor ran well on his first competitive attempt over the trip, he made most on that occasion but was caught late on, Razor should strip fitter for that effort and prove hard to beat this evening if he manages to lead round again. Webbys Star looks well drawn in T1 and rates as the main danger, the lightly race son of Blackstone Gene is open to plenty of improvement and is worth noting in the market.
The Romford Friday night maiden final at 8.53 over the four bend 400 metre trip can go to solo wide seed RIO COCO who looks plotted up in T6. The Henlow raider is capable of a flashy break and granted a clear run into the first corner he will take all the beating here. Early paced railer Corrig Galileo looks the main danger from T1, if that rival manages to hold the rails and lead round he could prove hard to peg back.
The Romford Friday night standard final at 9.09 can go to COURTS AD PETER who runs from T2 for trainer Phil Simmonds. The early paced performer has been running well in recent weeks and looks a major player here in a race where he looks capable of leading round, once on the bunny Courts Ad Peter would prove hard to beat. The key to the race as ever over the 400 metre trip at Romford will be the break and run into the first corner, it’s imperative that our selection pings out and gets on the bunny. Chopchop Mabel (T5) and Rio Rialto (T6) are both classy performers and looks the main dangers in a competitive race.
The final selection on the Romford card this evening is DEMIS PRINCESS (T5) in the eight bend marathon race at 10.23. The Monmore raider was a huge eye catcher last time out over six bends where she stayed on well off the final bend and was full of running after the line, now stepped up to the eight bend trip she looks a huge runner. The key to victory will be avoiding trouble on the first circuit, turn within striking distance and Demis Princess can hit the front by the fourth bend and power clear to victory.
Over at Sunderland keep an eye on RPGTV handicap superstar TOM TOM CHARLIE when he runs from T6 in the 9.16 race. The scratch runner was narrowly beaten last time out but found trouble at the third bend on that occasion, if he can avoid the trouble this time he can hit the front late on to claim this race for his connections.
