Live greyhound racing returns to our screens this evening with competitive action on show from both Romford and Sunderland. Join the RPGTV panel on Sky channel 468 from 7pm for all the latest industry news, race previews and market mover information.
The first race to highlight this evening is the maiden stayers race from Romford at 7.46 over the six bend 575 metre trip. Local runner COURTS AD EM looks an interesting runner now stepped up in trip and on six bend debut she looks a huge runner. The key to the race will be clearing T1 into the first corner, do that and it’s race on for this promising November 14 daughter of Droopys Jet. Between Thelines (T4) and Dollar Yen (T5) look the main dangers, if either we to lead round they could prove hard to peg back. Wide seed Droopys Harrison (T6) looks well drawn and is worth noting in the market.
At 8.21 look out for CANVAS COSTA who lines up from T3 for trainer Ernie Gaskin over the two bend 225 metre sprint trip. The early paced railer will need to bring his trapping boots to clear those drawn inside but if he manages to do so he should make all. Course and distance specialist Chopchop Mabel looks the main danger from T5, she’s capable of a flashy break and will not be caught if she pings out this evening.
In a race full of early pace well drawn CIVILITY COUNTS (T1) could find himself in the ideal pitch as they hit the first bend in the 8.37 open race from the London road circuit Romford. The early paced railer will need to hold the rails into the first corner to beat this field but if that happens and he hits the back straight on the bunny he should make all. It is however a very competitive race with the likes of Rising Rascel (T2), Courts Ad Jake (T3) and Calco Flyer (T4) in opposition our selection can not afford a tardy start. Don’t rule out solo wide seed Rio Rialto (T6), if there is trouble inside he could be the one to take advantage.
Draws win races and PASS TO GO looks ideally drawn in the 8.53 open race from Romford when the wide seeded runner lines up from T6. Pass To Go has recorded some flying sectionals and clocks over course and distance and if he’s back to anything like his best this evening he should prove too good for these. The key to victory will be the break, hit the back straight on the bunny or level with the leader and Pass To Go can power clear to claim this race. Diablo (T1) and Courts Ad Peter (T3) look the main opposition, they are both capable Romford performers and look lively runner here.
The final selection on the Romford card this evening is ATLANTIS JACOB (T1) in the eight bend marathon race at 10.23. Ideally drawn on the rails Jacob could be a spot of value in this race and with one of his better breaks he would be a danger to all. Likely race favourite Goldies Seb (T5) will take all the beating but with early pace drawn either side of him at odds on he could be one to oppose. Harlow raider Paddyflash (T4) looks an interesting runner, she ran well at Crayford recently and could attract support against the favourite.
Over at Sunderland look out for two RPGTV handicap favourites this evening. El Clasico and Tom Tom Charlie line up from T6 in their respective races at 9.16 and 10.20. Both greyhounds are capable of winning from the back and if they avoid any trouble down the back straight and at the third bend they will be closing down on the leaders off the final bend and looking to hit the front late on.
