As the dust settles on the Ryder Cup, and the yanks have finally quit yelling “GET IN THE HOLE” and giving Rory the finger, it’s off to St. Andrews for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Take a brief look at the betting and you’ll see it is one seriously competitive field; which is great for you as we’re paying SIX places for the tournament.
Trying to pick a winner here is going to be a bit hard when you take a look at the line-up and some of the performances that emerged from last week’s USA v Europe showdown.
Thomas Pieters was the shining light for Darren Clarke’s men and was the tournament’s top points scorer over the three days. The Belgian is getting better and better but does have a slightly iffy record at “the home of golf” to date.
Branden Grace tops the betting, though, and with the South African on something of a roll this season form-wise as well as a links lover and last year’s champion, can you resist a punt on him?
Either way we’re in for a barnstorming few days of golf up in Scotland.
