I got 9/10 in my predictions for the weekend games, so I thought I’d give you a little mid-week treat before the final round of fixtures on Sunday!
Arsenal play Sunderland at the Emirates tonight, and although Sunderland are already down and out, The Gunners are still fighting for a fourth-place finish, so this isn’t going to be played at a pre-season pace that you sometimes see at this end of the season. Arsenal will be right at it tonight and I am predicting a solid win for Wenger’s side.
Manchester City will have the same mind set as Arsenal in the race for a Champions League place and they’ll be far too good for West Brom, especially at home. I can see The Baggies nicking a goal, but City are just too strong, so I’m going for a 3-1 win to Pep’s boys.
Southampton v Manchester United tomorrow night will be a good one. Southampton play some really nice football and with the home advantage I fancy them to get a result here. Jose will be prioritising the Europa League Final over the Premier League now, so it won’t be a shock if a weaker United eleven starts the match.
On Thursday night, we’ve got Leicester v Tottenham which will be another good one. It will be a close game but Spurs will have too much for the Foxes. Saying that you can never completely write off Leicester at home – the big pitch allows space in behind the defence for Vardy to use his pace, which is a threat to any defence, so this could be the game that does me over here… but, I’m going for a Spurs win.
Don’t miss my final Premier League predictions of the season this weekend – we want to go out on a blinder!
