Nottingham Forest v Wolves Betting Preview
It’s probably fair to say that the season hasn’t gone exactly as planned for either Nottingham Forest or Wolves. However, local pride is at stake at the City Ground this weekend and at least both clubs have Championship football to look forward to again in August and the chance to target a place back in the Premier League in a year’s time.
Kenny Jackett believes Wolves have plenty to work with over the summer and into next season but admits that improving the front line is a major priority.
Nouha Dicko will hopefully be ready to lead the line from flag-fall at the start of next season but exciting young winger Jordan Graham won’t be ready until winter has set in and Michal Zyro is also facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines so the Wolves’ head coach is targeting further recruitment.
It’s evident that improvement is needed after a difficult recent run in which Wolves have found wins hard to come by as the season nears its conclusion. Only three wins in their last 18 matches have seen Wanderers tumble into the bottom half of the table. They’ve lost their last two away games but the club have still sold their 2,000 allocation for this Saturday’s clash with Forest, who have also been struggling.
Wolves have won at the City Ground on two of their last three visits and are 21/10 to do so again in our Full Time Result Betting. Four of their last five Championship clashes between the Midlands rivals have produced at least three goals so the 19/20 we are offering for Over (2.5) in our Goals Over/Under betting looks attractive at 19/20, though the reverse fixture at Molineux in December ended in a 1-1 draw – Ethan Ebanks-Landell putting Wolves in front before a late Dexter Blackstock equaliser.
Blackstock has been among the goals again lately for Forest and is 23/10 to be an Anytime Goalscorer this weekend. The Draw in 90 minutes is 23/10 while a 1-1 Correct Score is 4/1.
The match kicks off at 3.00pm on Saturday, April 30 at the City Ground
