Christiano Ronaldo left the footballing world speechless once again last night, scoring a hattrick for Real Madrid in their 3-0 win over local rivals Atletico Madrid. This leaves Simeone’s men with a monumental task next week, where they will need to find something very special to qualify for the Champions League Final.
Monaco host Juventus tonight in the second semi-final, and the home side have won four out of their last five games, scoring ten goals, with Kylian Mbappe (6/1 first goal scorer) bagging in three of their last five games. However, Leonardo Jardim’s side have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six Champions League fixtures.
On the flip-side, in their last four Champions League matches, Monaco have managed to score three in each game – odds on there to be over (3.5) goals tonight with BetBright are 3/1.
After their emphatic victory over Barcelona, Juventus go into this semi-final as 4/11 favourites to reach the final.
Although their opponents tonight have a strong goal scoring record in the competition, Juventus have kept five clean sheets in their last six games, so it’ll still be a tough task for the home side, especially when they’re up against experienced Champions League veterans like Gianluigi Buffon and Giorgio Chiellini.
Paulo Dybala scored a brace in the first quarter final leg against Barcelona, and many will feel he poses a real threat to Monaco’s chances of getting to Cardiff. He is currently 11/2 with BetBright to score the first goal of the night.
As always, this Juventus side will be hard to break down, but will face many challenges from this very attacking Monaco side, which for neutral, is an extremely exciting prospect.
