Juventus go into tonight’s second semi-final leg against Monaco two goals to the good, after a comfortable victory away from home last week, with two goals from Gonzalo Higuain, who BetBright have priced as 3/1 to score fist tonight.
The Italian side enter the match as 8/11 favourites, which is justified by the fact that Juve have beaten all eleven of their Ligue 1 opponents in knock out matches. Out of seven, Monaco have never won a game played in Italy and only two clubs (Ajax and Inter Milan) have ever won a knockout match in the competition after losing the previous game – Monaco certainly appear to have their work cut out tonight.
If they are to defy the odds, Monaco will be hoping for a standout performance from eighteen-year-old Kylian Mbappé, who has scored twenty-four goals this season, and is 13/5 to score any time during the game.
Ninety minutes is a long time in football and a lot can happen between now and the final whistle, however, if Juventus were not in the Final in Cardiff on Saturday 3rd June, it would be one of the biggest shocks in Champions League History.
