The House Guest That Won’t Leave
I’ve got to be honest, I feel for Wenger… The Gooners can scream and shout all they like on Arsenal Fan TV, but he’s just not going to go, is he?! He’s such a stubborn sod, he won’t leave – he’s as bad as the Mother-In-Law!!
I’m not going to get on his back, I just hope that Arsenal get in the top four, qualify for the Champions League and then he leaves at the end of the season with his head held high, because he deserves a little bit more respect that he’s getting at the minute.
I know the Arsenal fans are frustrated and I understand why, but he has been great for them.
They’re never going to compete with Man City at the top of the table because they’ve got so much money, they can blow the rest of them out of the water. That only really leaves them competing for Champions League spots which they’ve done so consistently every year (apart from last season).
It’s easy for me to say though, because I’m not an Arsenal fan – they can see their club going down hill compared to the days of Vieira and Henry, so I get why they’re not happy.
It’s alright saying “get rid of him” but you’ve got to be bloody careful who you replace him with. It could easily go from bad to worse but I’m telling you now: you’ve got to be careful.
A load of people are talking about Rodgers coming in, due to the style of play, but people need to give Wenger until the end of the season to see what happens.
Bore Of the Year…
Were City that good? Simple answer: Yeah, they were.
The quality of this City side can make teams look silly and that’s exactly what they did to Chelsea on Sunday. I’ve heard all the kerfuffle and all the pundits jumping on Chelsea, moaning about how poor they were, but City can make you look that bad.
The only thing I’d say about Chelsea was that I’d expect them to have more balls in a game like that. Conte set the team up to be compact and defensive but it won’t be long before the likes of Hazard and Pedro will start to cop the hump with that philosophy. But, Antonio Conte is all about winning and if he’s got to be boring then he will be.
Let’s have it right, they did exactly the same thing against Barcelona and I didn’t hear anyone piping up then!! Everyone was as happy as Larry!
They’ll get ironed out against Barca next week though – wow! The pitch at the Nou Camp is much bigger than the compact Stamford Bridge and the likes of Messi and Suarez will have much more room to do their thing in the second leg in front of their own fans.
I’m not being funny but Messi, the little magician, has only got to half fancy it and he’ll tear them apart!
What A Weekend We’ve Got Ahead Of Us!
Owwfffff!!! How about that come back by United on Monday!!
That’ll do their confidence the world of good, especially as they head into this HUMONGOUS game against Liverpool in the early kick off!
Being at home, United will have the edge and I think they’ll have a bit too much for Liverpool to be honest – if you’re a betting man then you’ve got to be backing United.
There’s only two points between them so this is a big, big game as they both compete for that second spot in the league.
You catch Liverpool on the wrong day and they can hurt you with their naughty front line but if Lukaku turns up then he will cause carnage on Saturday, because I still don’t think Liverpool’s centre halves are solid enough to convince me to back them.
I reckon there’ll be goals in this one and I’m going for 3-2 in my precitions. Liverpool will take it to United, they don’t care who or where they’re playing: they’ll attack. That means space in behind for Lukaku and Co to capitalise!
